Be a Part of the Heart

Talk to enough people and you’re just as likely to hear about someone who came to volunteer one Saturday morning with friends and never stopped coming back. A community member who became a full-time employee. A donor inspired by a shared commitment to ensure families have food on the table, clean clothes to wear, quality medical and dental care, and a sustainable way forward. A healthcare professional who volunteers the time to provide care that wouldn’t otherwise be available.

Join us for a tour, be a volunteer and experience Heart Ministry Center in action, make a donation or follow us on social media. Our supporters make our mission a reality.

"I love having the ability to take part in the community and stand with people who are at the crossroads of changing their lives."

Joe, Volunteer

Volunteer

Volunteers have a tremendous impact on Heart Ministry Center and the community we serve. We offer opportunities for individuals, families, companies, schools, and organizations to work together to provide critical meals to our neighbors in need. You can come for a one-time volunteer shift or an ongoing volunteer experience.

Volunteers are needed to:

  • Sort and stock donations
  • Operate the food distribution
  • Make food pantry bags
  • Maintain the Center and grounds
  • Help with special events and projects
  • Wednesdays we have a much greater need!

Volunteer Opportunities

To sign up for a food distribution volunteer shift, please register online, or contact Greg Glenn at (402) 702-1525 or greg@heartministrycenter.org. Tours of Heart Ministry Center are also available.

Our A Way Forward team is currently seeking bilingual volunteers to help communicate with community members. Contact Greg Glenn for more information.
