Attitude of Gratitude

It’s an appreciation for the good we find in others, recognition for the kindnesses others show us, and the way it makes us feel about ourselves and each other. At Heart Ministry Center, gratitude is something we feel every day. So much so that there’s a phrase for it – Attitude of Gratitude.

One of the many Mark-isms coined by former Heart Ministry Center chief executive officer, Mark Dahir, it’s a particularly appropriate theme for our holiday fundraising efforts. His unexpected passing earlier this year reminds us to appreciate every person, every day.

When you support Heart Ministry Center, you strengthen our ability to fulfill our mission of providing food, healthcare and a way forward to people severely affected by poverty in the Omaha area.

Thanks to some of our amazing supporters, including the McGowan Family Foundation, the Owen Foundation, Maria and Jeff Sauvageau and Godfather’s Pizza, your donation does even more good – matching donations received to up to $100,000

We have some pretty big goals.

Heart Ministry Center continues to grow in the services we offer and the support we’re able to provide to a community that might otherwise go without food, healthcare, dental care, mental health therapy, laundry, job skills and placement, money management, legal advice and the ability to live a life of self-sufficiency.

We want to expand our footprint to accommodate the growing needs of our community members. Some of these goals include:

Our thanks and gratitude to you.

The Attitude of Gratitude is real at Heart Ministry Center. Please give what you can to support our mission and see how we’re impacting our community every day.
